Assassin’s Creed Mirage plunges into ninth-century Baghdad, at the city’s golden age. Ubisoft tells how Basim, a young rebellious thief, becomes an accomplished Master Assassin.
The game returns to the roots of the saga: stealth, fluid parkour through a dense, bustling city, discreet assassinations. It also leads to Alamut, the legendary lair of the Assassins, in homage to the very first instalment.
This edition for PS5 is aimed at fans of the series as well as those who want a shorter, tighter adventure than the latest instalments, in a sumptuous oriental setting.

We read the feedback from buyers of Assassin’s Creed Mirage on PS5 to pick out what comes up most often, good and not so good.
Where we lean: for a shorter Assassin’s Creed, centred on stealth in an oriental setting, it is a very good choice. To extend the adventure, see the compilation with Valhalla below, and all our games in our oriental video games section.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage comes in several editions. Here is how the standard PS5 version compares with the three other most popular ones.

The Assassin’s Creed Mirage Deluxe on PS5 adds cosmetic extras to the game. It is aimed at fans. The standard game offers the same adventure.
The Assassin’s Creed Mirage on PS4 suits players who do not yet have a PS5. The PS5 version benefits from faster loading.
The Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Mirage compilation brings together Mirage and the very long Valhalla. It offers hundreds of hours of play. For Baghdad alone, Mirage is enough.
Yes, it takes place in Baghdad in the ninth century, and leads to Alamut, the fortress of the Assassins.
About twenty hours for the main story, a little more when exploring every district. It is shorter than Valhalla or Odyssey.
