Lee Cronin’s The Mummy revisits the mummy myth from the angle of the horror film. Directed by Lee Cronin, the man behind Evil Dead Rise, it relies on suspense and a disturbing atmosphere rather than on adventure.
This Blu-ray disc, published by Warner Bros, presents the film in high definition. The mummy film is aimed at thrill-seekers, in the vein of possession films.
This is not a family film: it is intended for mature audiences. For a horror night with friends, it is a new release worth discovering.

We read the feedback from buyers of the Lee Cronin’s The Mummy Blu-ray to pick out what comes up most often, both the good and the less good.
Where we lean: for horror fans who enjoy possession atmospheres, this makes a good evening in. For family adventure, see The Mummy trilogy below, and all our films in our Oriental films section.
